The project “Integrated Urban Development in Ukraine II” aimed to support the city of Kharkiv (the second-largest city of Ukraine by both population and economy) in the elaboration of a Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP). The ultimate objective of the assignment was the development of a unique SUMP for Kharkiv that considered its urban features, existing policies and planning documents, sustainable transport planning policies, as well as on-going relevant projects which may affect it (e.g. business development areas, investments in transport infrastructure, new housing areas, etc.). The SUMP was enhanced by the transport model in the PTV Visum software.
